Great news! We are pleased to announce, our shop at 190 Gloucester Road in Bishopston will be able to stay open throughout November.
According to just published government guidelines, the entire Food Industry is one of the ring-fenced areas that is allowed to stay open and encouraged to stay trading during the second English lockdown. Cocoa Corner (the chocolate part of our business) is classified as ‘food retailer’ (including businesses selling items such as chocolate, cakes, biscuits and drinking chocolate etc.) and therefore our shop can remain fully open and serve the public. We are allowed to sell products to be consumed off the premises, alongside off-license shops, cake shops and other independent food retailers.
There you have it. No need to give up on Christmas! You can still buy a great handmade chocolate and meaningful gifts produced by local makers and crafters.
Furthermore, we are in the process of confirming if the art side of the shop can remain open as well, given that we are part of one establishment and we do sell some essentials such as handmade soups, cosmetics, plants as well as hand sewn facial masks. We will keep you updated once we know more. Until then, please feel free to browse the shop and if you find something you like, please pick up an order form from the counter to place your order and to arrange the collection. Or shop online in our brand new virtual store. Not an easy task to move everything online since many items we sell are unique and require individual listing but we are adding more items every day, so please, bear with us.
Your safety is at the front of our minds each and every day. And we greatly appreciate the trust you placed in the extra safety measures and policies that we introduced in our shop that ensure you can browse and shop safely and stay healthy.
Thank you so much for your ongoing support. It means the world to us!
